PT4115EE89E is a continuous inductor current conduction mode buck constant current source designed to drive one or more series-connected LEDs. The chip integrates a power switch with an on-resistance of 0.45Ω, supports an input voltage range of 6V to 30V, and can drive LEDs up to tens of watts with appropriate external components, with a maximum output current of 1.2A. The PT4115EE89E features dimming capability, supporting both analog dimming and wide-range PWM dimming via the DIM pin. When VDIM falls below 0.3V, the power switch turns off and the chip enters a low-power standby state.

PT4115EE89E is a high-side current sensing, buck-topology, high-precision, high-brightness LED constant current driver controller with an integrated 30V power switch. The output current is set by a single external resistor, with a maximum output current of 1.2A, current sensing accuracy of ±5%, and a minimal external component count.

PT4115EE89E forms a self-oscillating continuous inductor current mode buck constant current LED driver together with an inductor (L) and a current sensing resistor (RCS). The PT4115EE89E determines the on/off state of the internal power transistor by sensing the voltage Vrs (Vin − Vcsn) across the current sensing resistor (RCS). This inductor current control scheme is referred to as inductor current hysteresis control mode, which offers very fast response to load transients, high rejection of input voltage variations, and an inductor current ripple of +/−20%.
