Introduction
The NSG4428 is a power switch series driver. It features matched rise and fall times when charging and discharging the gates of power switches. The NSG4428 is highly latch-resistant under any conditions within its rated power and voltage range. The NSG4428 will not be damaged when noise spikes of up to 5V (either polarity) appear on the ground pin. The NSG4428 can accept reverse currents of up to 500mA forced back into its outputs without damage or logic upset. All terminals are fully protected against ESD up to 2.0 kV.
The NSG4428 is an ultra-high-speed, high-current power IC driver with matched rise and fall times when charging and discharging the gates of power switches. The NSG4428 is highly latch-resistant under any conditions within its rated power and voltage range. The NSG4428 will not be damaged when noise spikes of up to 5V (either polarity) appear on the ground pin. The NSG4428 can accept reverse currents of up to 500mA forced back into its outputs without damage or logic upset.
The NSG4428 features two independent signal input ports for receiving control signals from the host controller without mutual interference. Both ports are designed with high reliability — even with 500mA of reverse current forced back into their outputs, no damage or logic upset will occur. The signal input ports are also capable of directly handling voltages down to -10V, ensuring safe operation under large noise waveforms and improving overall chip stability.
The NSG4428 output is inverted relative to the input and can be used to drive P-type or N-type MOSFETs. Each output port can source or sink peak currents of 2A. Its high-speed, high-current characteristics make it suitable for driving MOSFETs in high-frequency application designs.
