Introduction
SC69401 is an angular position sensor IC based on differential Hall magnetic sensing. Its center integrates a fully differential Hall sensing matrix capable of detecting a pair of S/N pole magnets positioned above it, generating corresponding sine/cosine position signals. These signals are amplified by a front-end amplifier, sampled by an internal ADC circuit, and processed by a dedicated DSP circuit for angle computation. The resulting position information (0–360°) of magnet rotation is output via multiple interface options. The IC supports multiple output modes: analog output proportional to the rotation angle, PWM output, and 4-wire SPI bus. The output curve can be programmed to select any 4-point, 8-point, or range-selectable 16-segment and 32-segment equal-division curves. The IC was developed in compliance with the ISO 26262 standard and meets ASIL-B level. It is suitable for non-contact, on-axis mounting position detection.
