Introduction
The TransGuard Automotive Series are ceramic semiconductor devices based on zinc oxide (ZnO), featuring nonlinear, bidirectional voltage-current characteristics. Their key advantage lies in providing bidirectional overvoltage protection and EMI/RFI attenuation in a single SMT package. The high current and energy handling capabilities of the Automotive Series make them ideally suited for protection against automotive-related transient phenomena. AVX VG Series components (large size, high energy) feature glass encapsulation. These components offer the same high reliability as the conventional VC Series. The glass encapsulation also enhances resistance to harsh environments or processes such as acids, salts, and chlorate fluxes. Operating temperature: -55°C to +125°C.
