Introduction
AD7192 is a low-noise, complete analog front end designed for high-precision measurement applications, integrating a low-noise, 24-bit Σ-Δ ADC. The on-chip low-noise gain stage enables direct connection of small signals.
The device can be configured for two differential inputs or four pseudo-differential inputs. The on-chip channel sequencer allows multiple channels to be enabled, with the AD7192 performing conversions on each enabled channel in sequence, simplifying communication with the device. The on-chip 4.92 MHz clock can serve as the ADC clock source; alternatively, an external clock or crystal can be used. The output data rate of the device is programmable from 4.7 Hz to 4.8 kHz.
The device offers two digital filter options. The filter selection affects RMS noise and noise-free resolution at the programmed output data rate, settling time, and 50 Hz/60 Hz rejection. For applications requiring settling on every conversion, the AD7192 features a zero-latency option.
The device operates from a 3 V to 5.25 V supply, draws 4.35 mA, and is available in a 24-lead TSSOP package.
