TDK InvenSense IAM-20380

The IAM-20380 is a 3-axis gyroscope in a compact 3×3×0.75mm (16-pin LGA) package. It also features a 512-byte FIFO that reduces traffic on the serial bus interface and lowers power consumption by allowing the system processor to burst read sensor data and then enter a low-power mode. The IAM-20380 integrates 3-axis functionality, enabling manufacturers to eliminate the costly and complex process of selecting, qualifying, and system-level integration of discrete devices, ensuring optimal motion performance. The gyroscope features a programmable full-scale range of ±250fps, ±500fps, ±1000fps, and ±2000fps. Factory-calibrated initial sensitivity reduces production-line calibration requirements. Additional features include an on-chip 16-bit ADC, programmable digital filter, embedded temperature sensor, and programmable interrupts. The device supports I²C and SPI serial interfaces, with a VDD operating range of 1.71V to 3.6V and a separate digital IO supply VDDIO ranging from 1.71V to 3.6V.
