The TUSB216I is a third-generation USB 2.0 high-speed signal conditioner designed to compensate for AC losses (due to capacitive loads) and DC losses (due to resistive loads) in the transmission channel. The TUSB216I features a patented design that accelerates the transmission edges of USB 2.0 high-speed signals through an edge accelerator and boosts the static level through a DC boost function. Additionally, it has a pre-emphasis function that improves the receiver's sensitivity and compensates for inter-symbol interference (ISI) jitter in long-cable applications. The characteristics of USB low-speed and full-speed signals remain unaffected. The TUSB216I enhances signal quality without altering packet timing or increasing propagation delay. The TUSB216I helps systems pass the USB 2.0 high-speed near-end eye diagram compliance test using cables up to 5 meters long. The TUSB216I is compatible with the USB On-The-Go (OTG) and Battery Charging (BC1.2) protocols. The integrated BC 1.2 battery charging controller can be enabled via a control pin.
