The APS12000 and APS12060 series Hall-effect latches are AEC-Q100 qualified for 24V automotive applications and compliant with ISO 26262:2011 ASIL A (pending confirmation). These sensors are temperature-stable and suitable for operation across an extended junction temperature range up to 175°C. The APS12000 and APS12060 series are available in several magnetic sensitivity options, providing flexible choices for system design. They are offered in both active-high and active-low variants for easy integration into electronic subsystems.
The APS12000 uses a Hall-effect element sensitive to magnetic flux perpendicular to the IC package surface. The APS12060 uses a vertical Hall-effect sensing element sensitive to magnetic flux parallel to the IC package surface.
These devices incorporate onboard reverse-battery and overvoltage protection, allowing direct operation from an automotive battery supply. They also feature output current limiting to protect against ground short circuits until the fault is cleared. The devices are particularly suited for operation from unregulated power supplies.
Two package options provide a choice between through-hole and surface-mount mounting. The LH package is a modified 3-pin SOT23W SMT package, while the UA package is a 3-pin ultra-mini SIP package for through-hole mounting. Both packages are Pb-free with 100% matte tin-plated leadframes.
