VISHAY HUMIDITY-SENS-E

This capacitive atmospheric humidity sensor consists of a non-conductive foil coated on both sides with a layer of gold. The dielectric constant of the foil varies with the relative humidity of the surrounding atmosphere, so the capacitance of the sensor serves as a measure of relative humidity. The foil is clamped between contact springs and assembled in a plastic housing. It features two connection pins compatible with PCBs at a 2.54 mm grid pitch, and can also be secured using 3 mm bolts. Occasional condensation on the sensor foil does not affect its characteristics. The sensor should not be exposed to acetone or chlorine vapors.
