Introduction
The TPiS 1S 1385 is the most compact thermopile sensor with integrated signal processing in the CaliPile™ product family. It features a wide field of view and low power consumption. The combination of high-sensitivity thermopile technology and intelligent data processing enables capabilities far beyond conventional remote object temperature measurement. Once configured via the I²C interface, the interrupt output can be used to monitor remote object motion, presence, or overtemperature conditions. A typical application is an ultra-thin battery-powered device that only needs to wake up when a person is detected in close proximity (up to 3 meters). Since this application requires no optical components such as Fresnel lenses, the entire device can be designed extremely thin.
