The MINI blade fuse was patented and introduced by Littelfuse in 1989 to meet OEM requirements for protecting more circuits in limited space. It features silver-plated blades and the Littelfuse-designed industry-standard color coding to indicate amperage, with a voltage rating of 32V AC/DC fast-acting, and complies with SAE J2077. The MAXI blade fuse is primarily used in under-hood applications, constructed with high-temperature polymer and silver-plated blades as a replacement for commonly used fusible links or fusible elements to protect high-current segments of wire harnesses or systems. It features the Littelfuse-designed industry-standard color coding to indicate amperage, with a voltage rating of 32V AC/DC slow-blow, and complies with SAE J1888.
