Introduction
Balanced miniature trielectrode gas discharge tube, 5 mm diameter, 7.5 mm length, UL certified, available in RoHS-compliant versions. Characteristic test methods conform to ITU-T K.12, IEEE C62.31, and IEC 61643-311 GDT standards. Impulse sparkover voltage is defined as the typical value of the distribution. Impulse lateral delay is less than 75 ns at 1000 V/μs. Insulation resistance is greater than 10¹⁰ Ω at 100 V. Glow voltage is approximately 70 V at 10 mA. Arc voltage is approximately 10 V at 1 A. Glow-to-arc transition current is less than 0.5 A. Capacitance is less than 2 pF at 1 MHz. DC holdover voltage is less than 150 ms at 135 V. Impulse discharge current: minimum 1 operation at 20000 A, 8/20 μs; greater than 10 operations at 10000 A, 8/20 μs; 1 operation at 2000 A, 10/350 μs; greater than 300 operations at 200 A, 10/1000 μs; greater than 500 operations at 200 A, 10/700 μs. AC discharge current: minimum 1 operation at 20 A rms, 1 s; greater than 10 operations at 10 A rms, 1 s. Storage temperature range: -55 to +105°C. Operating temperature range: -55 to +105°C. Climatic category: 55/105/21. Optional switching-class fail-short device available, activating at 215 to 217°C to provide a highly conductive ground path under thermal overload conditions.
