Introduction
Littelfuse SG series gas discharge tubes (GDTs) deliver high surge ratings in a miniature package. Designed for SMT on PCBs measuring 4.5×3.2×2.7mm, their low insertion loss makes them ideal for broadband equipment applications. The capacitance is voltage-independent, causing no operational issues in ADSL2+ applications where capacitance variation between Tip and Ring is undesirable. These devices are highly robust, capable of transferring 1000A pulses without damage.
