The highly reliable CG/CG2 series gas discharge tubes provide a high level of surge protection in a small package, suitable for board-level circuit protection. They operate as switches with minimal power dissipation, enabling them to handle currents far exceeding those of other transient voltage protection devices. Their gas-filled, rugged ceramic-metal construction makes them ideal for harsh environments. The series is available in multiple configurations — including SMT, pill, straight lead, and formed lead — to accommodate various mounting methods. The CG series (75V–110V) is ideal for protecting test and communications equipment and other applications requiring low voltage limiting and ultra-low arc voltage. The CG2 series (145V–1000V) is ideal for protecting equipment that requires higher voltage limiting and holdover voltage.
