Introduction
The Littelfuse Broadband Optimized SL0902A series delivers high surge ratings in a compact package. Special design features provide a high level of protection against fast-rising transients in the 100V/μs to 1kV/μs range, typically caused by lightning-induced interference. Low insertion loss makes it ideal for broadband device applications. Its capacitance does not vary with voltage, avoiding operational issues in ADSL2+ applications where capacitance variation between Tip and Ring is undesirable. These devices are extremely robust, capable of shunting 2500A pulses without damage. For prolonged AC power cross conditions, overcurrent protection is recommended. The Littelfuse CG5 MS miniature surge protector is designed to protect electrical and telecommunications equipment in SMT applications from overvoltage transients. This series uses non-radioactive components, offering state-of-the-art protection.
