Introduction
The TLV3604 and TLV3605 are 800ps high-speed comparators with LVDS outputs and rail-to-rail inputs. They feature low propagation delay, low overdrive dispersion, high switching frequency, etc., and have an operating voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V, making them suitable for lidar, clock and data recovery applications, as well as test and measurement systems. With a strong input overdrive performance of 350ps, they can detect narrow pulse widths as short as 600ps. The change in propagation delay caused by input overdrive is relatively small. Combined with the ability to detect narrow pulses, this improves system performance and extends the distance range in time-of-flight (ToF) applications. Their low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) outputs help increase data throughput and optimize power consumption. Complementary outputs reduce EMI by suppressing common-mode noise on each output. The LVDS outputs are designed to drive and directly connect to downstream devices that can accept standard LVDS inputs, such as high-speed FPGAs and CPUs. The TLV3604 comes in a tiny 6-pin SC - 70 package, making it suitable for space-sensitive applications, such as optical sensor modules. The TLV3605 maintains the same performance as the TLV3604 and provides adjustable hysteresis control, shutdown, and latching features in a 12-pin QFN package, making it an ideal choice for test and measurement applications.
