Introduction
MC74VHC1G135 is a single-gate CMOS Schmitt NAND gate with open-drain output, fabricated using silicon gate CMOS technology. It achieves high-speed operation comparable to equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining the low-power characteristics of CMOS. The internal circuit consists of three stages, including a buffered three-state output, providing high noise immunity and stable output. The input structure offers protection when voltages up to 5.5V are applied, regardless of the supply voltage, making this device suitable for interfacing between 5V and 3V circuits. Some output structures also provide protection when VCC = 0V and when the output voltage exceeds VCC. These input and output structures help prevent device damage caused by supply voltage–input/output voltage mismatches, battery backup, hot-plugging, and similar conditions.
