Introduction
The A19420 is an optimized Hall effect IC for measuring the speed of rotating targets. The sensor IC can directly measure ring magnets or measure ferrous targets via magnet back-biasing. The package features an integrated capacitor for EMC. The A19420's SolidSpeed digital architecture provides intelligent algorithms for stable operation during sudden and dynamic air gap movements. A precision digital controller delivers high-accuracy speed detection, making it ideal for transmission applications. Additionally, the A19420's differential sensing inherently suppresses interfering common-mode magnetic fields. The A19420 is developed in accordance with ISO 26262:2011 as a hardware safety element with ASIL B capability, suitable for use in automotive safety-related systems when integrated and used as specified in the applicable safety manual and datasheet. The A19420 is offered in a 2-pin SIP package (suffix UB), lead-free (Pb), with tin-plated lead frame. The UB package integrates an IC and a capacitor into a single overmolded package with an additional molded lead stabilizer bar for ease of handling and assembly.
