This is a series of 2mm pitch male and female rectangular, fully shielded, non-sealed connectors with removable contacts, for board-to-board, cable-to-board and cable-to-cable interconnection. The series covers 2 to 96 ways with a variety of application options. Female connectors are available with crimp, vertical through-hole and surface mount termination. Male connectors are available with crimp, vertical or horizontal (90°) through-hole and surface mount termination. A wide range of pre-wired contacts and cable assembly options are also available.

Connectors are offered with a range of gold- or tin-plated contact terminations (as shown in Appendix 1). The contact area of gold-plated contacts is hard acid gold of 98% purity.

The connector is designed as a low-voltage connector for use in high packing density electronic equipment. Connectors are polarised to prevent mismating and can be produced with a locking feature (L-Tek) or in jackscrews (J-Tek) form, with or without board-mount retention.

L-Tek and J-Tek connectors are offered with low frequency (LF) contacts, while Mix-Tek connectors are also available in jackscrew versions with a choice of power or coaxial contacts.

Note: Some connector styles can be manufactured and tested to BS9525 F0033. All other connectors in this series are designed to the same specification. For cable assembly specifications, refer to assembly specification C049XX (where XX is the latest issue).
