Introduction
The CMT10XXX is an electrically isolated CAN transceiver compliant with ISO 11898-2 (2016). It provides ±70V DC bus fault protection and a ±30V common-mode voltage range. The device supports data rates up to 5Mbps in CAN FD mode, enabling faster payload transmission compared to Classic CAN. The SiO2 isolation barrier withstands 5000VRMS and supports 1060VRMS working voltage. EMC performance is significantly enhanced, achieving system-level ESD, EFT, and surge protection while meeting radiated emissions standards. When used with an isolated power supply, it protects against high-voltage transients and prevents noise currents on the bus from entering the local ground. Both basic and reinforced isolation grades are available. Supports a wide ambient temperature range of –40°C to +125°C, available in (WB) SOIC16, DUB8, and SOW8L packages.
