Introduction
The SPL07-003 is a compact digital barometric pressure sensor featuring high accuracy and low current consumption. It functions as both a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor. The pressure sensing element is based on a capacitive sensing principle, ensuring high accuracy across temperature variations. Its small form factor makes it well-suited for mobile applications and wearable devices. An internal signal processor converts the outputs of the pressure and temperature sensing elements into 24-bit results. Each pressure sensor is individually calibrated and contains calibration coefficients, which are used to convert raw measurements into accurate pressure and temperature values. The sensor incorporates a FIFO capable of storing the 32 most recent measurement results; using the FIFO allows the host processor to remain in sleep mode for longer intervals between readings, thereby reducing overall system power consumption. Sensor measurements and calibration coefficients are accessible via I2C or SPI serial interfaces.
