Introduction
The MC10H115 is a quad differential amplifier designed for differential signal detection on long lines. This 10H device is functionally and pin-compatible with standard MECL 10K series devices, with a 100% increase in counting frequency and no increase in supply current.
A base bias supply (V_BB) is provided at pin 9, allowing the device to be used as a Schmitt trigger or in other applications requiring a stable reference voltage. The active current source provides the MC10H115 with excellent common-mode rejection capability. If any amplifier in the package is unused, one input of that amplifier must be connected to V_BB (pin 9) to prevent disruption of the current source bias network.
The MC10H115 is designed for differential signal detection on long lines. The bias supply (V_BB) is brought out to allow the device to be used as a Schmitt trigger or in other applications requiring a stable reference voltage.
The active current source provides these receivers with excellent common-mode noise rejection capability. If any amplifier in the package is unused, one input of that amplifier must be connected to V_BB to prevent unbalancing the current source bias network.
The MC10H115 has no internal input pull-down resistors. This provides high impedance at the amplifier inputs and facilitates differential connections.
