Introduction
The Honeywell HPM Series Particulate Matter Sensor is a laser-based sensor that uses light scattering to detect and count particles. The detectable concentration range is 0 μg/m³ to 1000 μg/m³. When particles are drawn into the detection chamber, they are illuminated by the laser light source. As particles pass through the laser beam, light is reflected off the particles and recorded by a photodetector. The light is then analyzed and converted into an electrical signal to calculate particle concentration. The Honeywell Particulate Matter Sensor provides particle concentration information within a given concentration range.
