TI TPS54302DDCR

The TPS54302 is a 3A synchronous buck converter with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V. The device integrates two switching FETs and features internal loop compensation and a 5ms internal soft-start to reduce component count. By integrating MOSFETs in a SOT-23 package, the TPS54302 achieves high power density with a minimal PCB footprint. Advanced Eco-mode is implemented to maximize light-load efficiency and reduce power loss. Spread-spectrum operation is incorporated in the TPS54302 to reduce EMI. Cycle-by-cycle current limiting on the high-side MOSFET protects the converter under overload conditions, with enhanced functionality provided by a low-side MOSFET freewheeling current limit that prevents current runaway. When the overcurrent duration exceeds a preset time, a hiccup-mode protection is triggered.
