Introduction
KP201 is a high-performance PWM controller designed for offline flyback power supplies. The chip integrates a universal primary-side constant-current control technique, supporting both discontinuous and continuous conduction mode operation, suitable for isolated power supply applications with constant-current output. KP201 features a high-accuracy 65kHz switching frequency oscillator with frequency dithering to optimize EMI performance. Operating in green energy-saving mode and hiccup mode, the chip achieves standby power consumption below 75mW. KP201 integrates comprehensive protection features, including: VDD undervoltage lockout (UVLO), VDD overvoltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection (SCP), overload protection (OLP), over-temperature protection, soft-start, VDD clamping, and CS pin open-circuit protection.
