Introduction
OB2263 is a highly integrated current-mode PWM controller designed for small-to-medium power flyback switching power supplies, optimized for high performance and low standby power, enabling efficiency and standby performance to meet Level VI energy efficiency standards. The switching frequency of OB2263 is adjustable via an external resistor. At full load, the PWM switching frequency is fixed; as the load decreases, the device enters green mode with reduced switching frequency; under no-load and light-load conditions, it enters burst mode to minimize switching losses. The advanced control scheme reduces switching losses and improves efficiency. OB2263 is designed with low startup current and low operating current to ensure reliable power-on startup and low standby power consumption. OB2263 features soft-start control to reduce MOSFET stress, frequency jitter for improved EMI performance, burst mode frequency above 22KHz for audio-noise-free operation, and multiple auto-recovery protections including VDD undervoltage lockout (UVLO), VDD overvoltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limiting (OCP), overload protection (OLP), and over-temperature protection (OTP). OB2263 is available in lead-free packages including SOT23-6, SOP8, DIP8, and MSOP8.
