Introduction
DK025G is a highly integrated quasi-resonant flyback AC-DC power switch IC incorporating a 700V/800mΩ GaN HEMT. It monitors the drain-to-source voltage (VDS) of the power switch and turns it on when VDS reaches its minimum value, thereby reducing switching losses and improving EMI. DK025G greatly simplifies the design and manufacturing of flyback AC-DC converters, particularly for applications requiring high conversion efficiency and high power density. It features comprehensive protection functions: output OVP, VCC over/under-voltage protection, OTP, open-loop protection, output OCP, and more. DK025G is a current-mode controlled quasi-resonant flyback AC-DC power management switch IC. It integrates a 700V/800mΩ GaN HEMT, control circuitry, and gate drive circuitry on-chip, significantly reducing the external component count and effectively lowering overall system cost. Operating in DCM, when the core energy is fully released and the primary inductance resonates with the GaN HEMT junction capacitance to its minimum value, the primary power switch turns on, reducing turn-on switching losses and improving efficiency across the full power range.
