Introduction
RSM232 is a high-speed, single-channel isolated RS-232 transceiver designed for bidirectional data communication, supporting baud rates up to 235kbps. The transceiver integrates an isolated DC/DC converter internally, enabling electrical isolation between the controller and the RS-232 transceiver from a single supply voltage, with a maximum isolation voltage of 2500VDC. No external isolated power supply is required, simplifying user implementation. Full isolation between the control ground and bus ground allows the device to withstand higher common-mode voltages. Integrated ESD protection components pass the IEC61000-4-2 air discharge test, with human body model ESD protection exceeding ±15kV. The DIP8 package offers a compact footprint and high integration density.
