Introduction
The WK2212 is the first dual-channel UART device featuring 256-level FIFO, low power consumption, and support for UART/SPI/IIC/8-bit parallel bus interfaces. The chip can be configured via mode selection to operate in any of the above host interface modes, extending the selected host interface into 2 enhanced UART channels.
The extended sub-channel UARTs offer the following features:
- Baud rate, word length, and parity format of each sub-channel UART are independently configurable, supporting communication rates up to 2Mbps.
- Each sub-channel can be independently configured to operate in advanced modes including IrDA infrared communication, RS-485 auto transceiver control, 9-bit network address auto-detection, and software/hardware automatic flow control.
- Each sub-channel features independent 256-level TX/RX FIFOs with user-programmable interrupt trigger levels and timeout interrupt support.
The WK2212 adopts a QFN32 RoHS-compliant lead-free package, operates over a wide supply voltage range of 2.5~5.0V, and supports configurable auto sleep/wake-up functionality.
