IP6520 is a buck converter with integrated synchronous switches, supporting multiple fast-charging output protocols, Type-C output, and USB PD2.0/PD3.0 (PPS) protocols, providing a complete solution for in-vehicle chargers, fast-charging adapters, and smart power strips. The IP6520 integrates internal power MOSFETs, with an input voltage range of 7.1V to 32V and an output voltage range of 3V to 12V, capable of delivering up to 20W of output power. It automatically adjusts output voltage and current based on the detected fast-charging protocol. Typical output voltage and current ratings include: 5V/3A, 9V/2.22A, and 12V/1.67A. The IP6520's PD output features CV/CC characteristics. When the output current is below the set value, it operates in CV mode with a constant output voltage; when the output current exceeds the set value, it switches to CC mode and the output voltage decreases. The IP6520 features automatic overcurrent threshold adjustment. After a successful high-voltage SCP fast-charging protocol handshake, it supports up to 10V/2.5A output. When the device connected to the IP6520's Type-C port supports high-voltage SCP, high-voltage SCP is prioritized over PD output, delivering higher charging power. The IP6520's output voltage includes a cable compensation function, which increases the output voltage proportionally as output current rises, compensating for voltage drop caused by cable impedance. The IP6520 features a soft-start function to prevent inrush current during startup from affecting input power stability. The IP6520 supports Type-C output and integrates various fast-charging protocols. It automatically identifies the fast-charging protocols supported by the connected device via CC1/CC2 or DP/DM, then adjusts the output voltage and current accordingly. Supported fast-charging protocols include: DCP (Apple and BC1.2), Qualcomm QC2.0/QC3.0, Huawei FCP and high-voltage SCP, Samsung AFC (MAX 12V), as well as USB PD2.0/PD3.0 (PPS) output protocols. The IP6520 provides multiple protection features, including input overvoltage and undervoltage protection, output overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and short-circuit protection.
