The CY7C235A is a high-performance 1024-word × 8-bit electrically programmable read-only memory available in slim 300-mil plastic or ceramic DIP, 28-pin leadless chip carrier, or 28-pin plastic leaded chip carrier packages. The memory cells utilize proven EPROM floating-gate technology and a byte-wide intelligent programming algorithm. The CY7C235A offers pin-for-pin replacement of bipolar devices with the advantages of low power consumption, high performance, and high programming yield. EPROM cells require only 12.5V overvoltage, and low current requirements allow gang programming. EPROM cells enable 100% testing of each memory location, as every location is written, erased, and cycled repeatedly prior to packaging. Each PROM is also subjected to AC performance testing to ensure that the product meets AC specification limits after customer programming.
