The device integrates advanced power MOSFETs, high-precision voltage detection circuitry, and delay circuits. Housed in an ultra-compact SOT23-5 package requiring only a single external component, it is ideal for space-constrained battery pack designs. It provides all protection functions required for battery applications, including overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, and load short-circuit protection. Accurate overcharge detection voltage ensures safe charging while maximizing battery capacity utilization. Low standby current draws minimal power from the battery during storage. The device is suitable not only for digital cellular phones, but also for any other lithium-ion and lithium-polymer battery-powered information devices requiring extended battery life.
