Introduction
The ISO773x-Q1 devices are high-performance, three-channel digital isolators offering UL1577-compliant isolation ratings of 5000VRMS (DW package) and 3000VRMS (DBQ package). The family includes devices with reinforced insulation ratings compliant with VDE, CSA, TUV, and CQC standards. When isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/O, the ISO773x-Q1 family provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions with low power consumption. The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are separated by dual-capacitor silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barriers. The devices feature an enable pin that places the respective outputs in a high-impedance state for multi-driver bus applications and reduces power consumption. The ISO7730-Q1 has three channels all in the same direction, while the ISO7731-Q1 has two forward channels and one reverse channel. If input power or signal is lost, devices without the suffix F default to a high output, while devices with the suffix F default to a low output. Used in conjunction with an isolated power supply, this family helps prevent noise currents on data buses (e.g., CAN and LIN) or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. Through innovative chip design and layout techniques, the EMC performance of the ISO773x-Q1 devices is significantly enhanced, enabling easy compliance with system-level ESD, EFT, surge, and emissions requirements. The ISO773x-Q1 family is available in 16-pin wide-body SOIC and QSOP packages.
