Introduction
The ISO224 is a precision isolation amplifier. The output and input circuits are separated by an isolation barrier with extremely strong anti-electromagnetic interference performance. This isolation barrier is certified to provide enhanced electrical isolation of up to 5 kV RMS, with an extremely long service life and low power dissipation. When used in conjunction with an isolated power supply, this device can isolate components in systems operating at different common-mode voltage levels and prevent damage to low-voltage components. The input of the ISO224 is specifically optimized for accurate detection of ±10 V signals, which are very common in industrial applications. This device operates with a high-side single power supply. This unique feature simplifies the design of the isolated power supply and reduces system cost. The integrated high-side power supply voltage detection function simplifies system-level diagnosis. The ±4 V output of the ISO224 can support the use of lower-cost analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The differential structure of the output has stronger anti-noise performance. The ISO224 can operate normally in the extended industrial temperature range from -55 °C to +125 °C and is packaged in a wide-body 8-pin SOIC (DWV).
