Introduction
The LMR33620 SIMPLE SWITCHER regulator is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter that delivers excellent efficiency for demanding industrial applications. The LMR33620 can drive up to 2A of load current from input voltages up to 36V, while providing outstanding light-load efficiency and output accuracy in an ultra-compact solution footprint. Features such as a power-good flag and precision enable facilitate flexible, easy-to-use solutions across a wide range of applications. The LMR33620 automatically folds back its switching frequency under light-load conditions to improve efficiency. Integration eliminates most external components, and the pin arrangement is designed for simple PCB layout. Protection features include thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and hiccup short-circuit protection. The LMR33620 is available in an 8-pin HSOIC package and a next-generation 12-pin 3mm×2mm VQFN package with wettable flanks. An AEC-Q100-qualified version is also available.
