Introduction
Manufactured using the revolutionary silicon-germanium (SiGe) BiCom3X complementary process, the THS7372 is a low-power, single-supply, 2.7-V to 5-V, 4-channel integrated video buffer. It contains one SDTV filter and three fixed full HD (true HD) HDTV filters. All filters feature sixth-order Butterworth characteristics and can be used as DAC reconstruction filters or ADC image rejection filters. The THS7372 offers flexible input coupling capability and can be configured for AC or DC coupled inputs. A 300-mV output level shift allows full sync-tip-to-peak output dynamic range with 0-V input. AC-coupled mode includes a transparent sync-tip clamp circuit to support CVBS, Y', and G'B'R' signals. AC-coupled biasing for P'B/P'R can be easily implemented by adding an external resistor to V_S+. The THS7372 is ideal for a wide range of video buffer applications. Its rail-to-rail output stage with 6-dB gain supports both AC and DC line driving. It can drive dual lines or 75-Ω loads, allowing maximum flexibility as a video line driver. Total quiescent current of 23.4 mA at 3.3 V and 0.1 μA in shutdown mode make it well suited for power-sensitive systems. The THS7372 is available in a lead-free and environmentally friendly (RoHS-compliant) TSSOP-14 package.
