Introduction
Helps meet the power management requirements of the latest platforms, particularly automotive radar and camera systems, as well as industrial radar applications. The device integrates two step-down DC/DC converters and a 5V boost converter/bypass switch to support safety-critical applications. It also includes two voltage monitoring inputs for external power supplies and a window watchdog.
Automatic PWM/PFM (AUTO mode) operation achieves high efficiency across a wide output current range of the buck converters. Remote voltage sensing compensates for IR drop between the converter output and the point of load, improving output voltage accuracy.
Programmable startup and shutdown sequencing supports synchronization to enable signals, with a general-purpose digital output.
During startup and voltage transitions, the device controls the output slew rate to minimize output voltage overshoot and inrush current. The device includes one-time programmable (OTP) memory.
