Introduction
TXB0104 is a 4-bit non-inverting translator that operates with two independently configurable power-supply rails. The A port is designed to track VCCA, which accepts any supply voltage ranging from 1.2V to 3.6V. The B port is designed to track VCCB, which accepts any supply voltage ranging from 1.65V to 5.5V. This allows the device to perform universal low-voltage bidirectional translation between the 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes in any combination. VCCA must not exceed VCCB. When the output-enable (OE) input is low, all outputs are placed in a high-impedance state. To ensure the high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, OE must be connected to GND through a pull-down resistor. The minimum value of this resistor is determined by the current-sourcing capability of the driver. The OE input circuitry of this device is powered by VCCA. This device is fully suitable for partial power-down applications using IOFF. The IOFF circuitry disables the outputs to prevent damaging backflow current when the device is powered down.
Features
- Port A supports 1.2V to 3.6V, Port B supports 1.65V to 5.5V (VCCA ≤ VCCB)
- VCC isolation feature: if either VCC input is tied to GND, all outputs are in high-impedance state
- Output enable (OE) input referenced to VCCA
- Low power consumption, ICC maximum 5μA
- Partial power-down mode operation supported
- Latch-up performance exceeds 100mA per JESD 78 Class II
- ESD protection exceeds JESD 22 specifications
- Port A: 2500V Human Body Model (A114-B), 1500V Charged Device Model (C101)
- Port B: ±15kV Human Body Model (A114-B), 1500V Charged Device Model (C101)
Applications
- Headphones
- Smartphones
- Tablets
- Desktop Computers
