Introduction
The UCC5350-Q1 is a single-channel isolated gate driver with a minimum peak source current of 5A and a minimum peak sink current of 5A. It is designed to drive MOSFETs, IGBTs, and SiC MOSFETs. The UCC5350-Q1 features Miller clamp or split output options. In addition to connecting the transistor gate to the output, the CLAMP pin is used to connect the gate to the internal FET to prevent false turn-on caused by Miller current. With the split output option, the OUTH and OUTL pins can be used to independently control the rise and fall times of the gate voltage. The UCC5350-Q1 is available in a 4mm SOIC-8 (D) or an 8.5mm wide-body SOIC-8 (DWV) package, which can support isolation voltages of up to 3kVRMS and 5kVRMS, respectively. The input side is isolated from the output side by SiO2 capacitive isolation technology, and the isolation barrier has a service life of over 40 years. The UCC5350-Q1 is well-suited for driving IGBTs or MOSFETs in applications such as high-voltage traction inverters and on-board chargers.
