Introduction
TLC08x-Q1 is a general-purpose op amp that provides an upgrade path for BiFET users transitioning from dual-supply to single-supply systems while requiring higher AC and DC performance. It delivers excellent performance across the full automotive operating temperature range (-40°C to 125°C) at a rated voltage of 4.5V to 16V, making it suitable for a wide range of audio, automotive, industrial, and instrumentation applications. The BiMOS amplifier combines an ultra-high input impedance, low-noise CMOS front end with a high-drive bipolar output stage for optimal performance characteristics. Compared to the earlier TL08x-Q1 BiFET, AC performance is improved with 10MHz bandwidth and 8.5nV/√Hz voltage noise. DC performance improvements include a guaranteed VICR that extends to ground, a 4× reduction in input offset voltage to 1.5mV (maximum), and a 40dB increase in power supply rejection to 130dB. The ultra-compact MSOP PowerPAD package easily drives ±50mA loads, making this an ideal high-performance general-purpose op amp family.
