The BQ77904 and BQ77905 devices are low-power battery pack protectors that can implement a series of voltage, current, and temperature protections without microcontroller (MCU) control. The stackable interface of these devices allows for easy expansion, supporting battery applications from 3 cells in series to 20 cells or more in series. The protection thresholds and delays are factory-programmed, and multiple configurations are available for selection. To enhance flexibility, separate over-temperature and under-temperature discharge thresholds (OTD and UTD) as well as over-temperature and under-temperature charge thresholds (OTC and UTC) are also provided.
