Introduction
TMP75B is an integrated digital temperature sensor featuring a 12-bit ADC operable from a 1.8V supply, pin- and register-compatible with the industry-standard LM75 and TMP75. Available in SOIC-8 and VSSOP-8 packages, it measures temperature without external components. Temperature readings are available at 0.0625°C resolution, with a rated operating range of −55°C to +125°C.
The device features SMBus and two-wire interface compatibility, supporting up to 8 devices on the same bus with SMBus over-temperature alert functionality. Programmable temperature limits and an ALERT pin allow the sensor to operate as a standalone thermostat or an over-temperature alarm for power saving or system shutdown.
Factory-calibrated temperature accuracy and a noise-immune digital interface make the TMP75B a suitable solution for temperature compensation of other sensors and electronic components, eliminating the need for additional system-level calibration or complex PCB layout and routing in distributed temperature sensing applications.
