Introduction
The UCC2154x is a series of isolated dual-channel gate drivers. This series is designed with a peak source/sink current of up to 4A/6A, capable of driving power MOSFETs, IGBTs, and GaN transistors. Moreover, the UCC21540 in the DWK package offers a minimum channel-to-channel spacing of 3.3mm, which is beneficial for achieving a higher bus voltage. The UCC2154x series can be configured as two low-side drivers, two high-side drivers, or a half-bridge driver. The input side is isolated from the two output drivers by a 5.7kV_RMS isolation layer, and its common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) has a minimum value of 100V/ns. Protection features include: dead time programmable via a resistor; simultaneous shutdown of both outputs through the disable function; an integrated anti-spike filter to suppress input transients shorter than 5ns; and 200ns negative voltage handling of spikes up to -2V on the input and output pins. All power supplies have UVLO protection.
