Introduction
The DRV5032 device is an ultra-low-power digital switch Hall effect sensor designed for the most compact and battery-sensitive systems. The device offers a variety of magnetic thresholds, sampling rates, output drivers, and packages to suit various applications. When the applied magnetic flux density exceeds the B_OP threshold, the device outputs a low voltage. The output remains low until the magnetic flux density drops below B_RP, after which the output will drive a high voltage or become high impedance, depending on the device version. By integrating an internal oscillator, the device samples the magnetic field and updates the output at a rate of 20Hz or 5Hz to achieve the lowest current consumption. Both omnipolar and unipolar magnetic responses are available. This device operates in the V_CC range of 1.65V to 5.5V and comes in standard SOT - 23, TO - 92, and small X2SON packages. The DRV5032 device is a magnetic sensor with a digital output that indicates when the magnetic flux density threshold is exceeded. The device integrates a Hall effect element, analog signal conditioning, and a low-frequency oscillator to achieve ultra-low average power consumption. The device is powered by a 1.65V to 5.5V power supply, can periodically measure the magnetic flux density, update the output, and enter a low-power sleep state.
