Introduction
The TLV803E, TLV809E, and TLV810E are enhanced replacements for the TLV803, TLV853, TLV809, LM809, TPS3809, and TLV810. The TLV80xE and TLV81xE offer advantages such as low quiescent current (IQ), high accuracy, a wide temperature range, and low power-on reset voltage (VPOR), which can improve system reliability.
The TLV80xE and TLV81xE series are voltage monitoring circuits (reset ICs) with low IQ (250 nA typical, 1 μA maximum) that monitor the VDD voltage level. These devices initiate a reset signal whenever the supply voltage VDD drops below the factory-programmed falling threshold voltage VIT-. After the VDD voltage rises above the rising voltage threshold (VIT+), which is equal to the sum of the falling voltage threshold (VIT-) and the hysteresis voltage (VHYS), the reset output remains low for a fixed reset delay time tD.
These devices feature integrated glitch suppression, which ignores fast transients on the VDD pin. With low IQ and high accuracy (±0.5% typical), these voltage monitors are well-suited for low-power and portable applications. The TLV80xE and TLV81xE devices have a specified output logic state for supply voltages as low as VPOR = 0.7V.
The TLV80xE and TLV81xE devices are available in industry-standard 3-pin SOT23 (DBZ) and SC70 (DCK) packages, as well as the ultra-compact X2SON (DPW) package.
