Introduction
The THS4561 fully differential amplifier (FDA) provides a simple interface between a single-ended source and a differential output to meet the requirements of precision analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The THS4561 features an ultra-low 1/f voltage noise corner frequency of 8 Hz and a low total harmonic distortion (THD) of 130 dB, while consuming only 775 µA of quiescent current. It is well-suited for power-sensitive data acquisition (DAQ) systems that require a combination of an amplifier and an ADC to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) for high performance. The THS4561 has the required negative supply rail input for connecting DC-coupled, ground-centered source signals to single-supply differential-input ADCs. Low DC errors and temperature drift terms meet the input requirements of emerging high-speed and high-resolution successive approximation register (SAR) and Δ - Σ ADCs. The 2.85 V to 12.6 V supply voltage range, flexible output common-mode setting, and low supply headroom help meet the requirements of various ADC inputs and digital-to-analog converter (DAC) outputs. The THS4561 device is specified for operation from – 40°C to +125°C.
