Introduction
The THS4551 fully differential amplifier provides a simple interface between a single-ended source and a differential output, meeting the requirements of various high-precision analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). This device combines excellent DC accuracy, low noise, and robust capacitive load driving capability, making it ideal for data acquisition systems with high-precision requirements. Meanwhile, when the amplifier works in conjunction with the ADC, excellent signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) can be achieved.
The THS4551 has the required negative power supply rail input, which can be used to connect DC-coupled, ground-centered source signals to single-supply differential input ADCs. The device has ultra-low DC error and drift, meeting the input requirements of emerging 16- to 20-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs. With the ADC common-mode input requirements ranging from 0.7V to over 3.0V, the wide-range output common-mode control supports the ADC to operate with a power supply from 1.8V to 5V.
The THS4551 device is rated to operate over a wide temperature range from –40°C to +125°C and is available in an 8-pin very thin shrink small outline package (VSSOP), a 16-pin very thin quad flat no-lead (VQFN) package, and a 10-pin thin quad flat no-lead (WQFN) package.
