Introduction
KP223XXWG is a high-performance quasi-resonant current mode PWM controller IC designed for offline flyback converters. The IC integrates a high-voltage startup circuit, enabling fast startup and ultra-low standby performance. It supports a VDD supply range of 8–40V, making it well-suited for wide-voltage-output power supply applications.
KP223XXWG features a high-accuracy 80kHz switching frequency oscillator with frequency modulation and current peak modulation capabilities to optimize EMI performance. Combined with quasi-resonant control mode, green energy-saving mode, and hiccup mode, the IC achieves full-range efficiency optimization, delivering standby power consumption below 30mW to meet Level VI energy efficiency requirements.
KP223XXWG integrates comprehensive protection features, including: VDD undervoltage lockout (UVLO), VDD overvoltage protection (VDD OVP), input undervoltage protection (Brownout), input overvoltage protection (LOVP), output overvoltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limiting (OCP), abnormal overcurrent protection (AOCP), overload protection (OLP), output overcurrent protection (SOCP), short-circuit protection (SCP), built-in overtemperature protection (OTP), soft-start, and leading-edge blanking (LEB).
