Introduction
BL0930F is an energy metering IC with a built-in clock, designed for single-phase energy meters with a high cost-performance ratio. It integrates 2-channel high-precision Sigma-Delta ADCs, reference voltage, power management, and other analog circuit modules, along with digital signal processing circuits for computing active power, RMS current, RMS voltage, and other electrical parameters. An integrated SPI/UART calibration interface and OTP calibration programming pin allow the chip to be calibrated via an external SPI/UART interface fixture, with calibration values written into the chip through the OTP programming pin, enabling software-based meter calibration. A patented anti-creep design, combined with appropriate external hardware design, ensures that noise power is not counted as energy pulses in the absence of current.
Features
- High accuracy, nonlinear measurement error less than 0.1% within input dynamic range (3000:1)
- Two independent Sigma-Delta ADCs, one for current and one for voltage
- Slow output pulses can directly drive motor operation
- Outputs RMS current, RMS voltage, fast RMS current, active power, and line voltage frequency
- SPI (max rate 900KHz) / UART (4800–38400bps) communication interfaces
- Power-down detection: chip enters reset state when supply drops below 2.7V
- Built-in 1.218V reference voltage source (typical)
- Built-in oscillator circuit, clock approximately 4MHz
- Single supply voltage 3.3V, low power consumption 10mW (typical)
- SOP16 package
