Introduction
BL0942 is a clock-calibration-free energy metering IC with a built-in oscillator, designed for single-phase multi-function energy meters, smart sockets, smart home appliances, and similar applications, offering high cost-effectiveness. BL0942 integrates two high-precision Sigma-Delta ADCs along with analog circuit modules including a voltage reference and power management, as well as DSP circuits for processing electrical parameters such as active power and RMS current/voltage values. BL0942 is capable of measuring RMS current, RMS voltage, active power, active energy, and other parameters. It supports fast RMS current output (for over-current protection), waveform output, and data output via UART/SPI interface, fully meeting the requirements of smart sockets, smart home appliances, single-phase multi-function energy meters, and large-scale power consumption data acquisition applications. BL0942 features a patented anti-creep design that, combined with appropriate external hardware design, ensures noise power is not counted into energy pulses in the absence of current.
